The European Academic Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to support the development of talented students in Europe, who can be expected to contribute to European society in a meaningful way.
University students from all backgrounds are invited to our fellowship program, which supports them throughout their studies in three key ways:
We organize regular, fully funded academic retreats for fellows to broaden their horizons and meet other fellows.
We provide meaningful mentorship by matching fellows with world class academics.
We offer financial aid to support fellows with their studies.
Fellows are expected to participate in our program and network, to advance the organization and importantly, to show ambition, collegiality and dedication as they pursue their studies.
Our inaugural academy will be an intensive exploration of future societal challenges, led by Prof. Dr. Dirk Helbing, a renowned expert in Computational Social Science and Complex Systems at ETH Zurich. Prof. Helbing's groundbreaking work on social physics, crowd dynamics, and digital democracy aligns perfectly with our mission to shape Europe's future leaders.
The academy will cover topics such as envisioning our desired future, analyzing global agendas in the context of the digital revolution, examining societal implications of current systems, and developing strategies for achieving our goals. Participants will gain unique insights into the complex interplay between technology, society, and Europe's future.
If you're a student at a European University with an outstanding record of achievements, you are encouraged to apply. We especially encourage students who have yet to complete their first degree to apply, as we seek to promote the long term development of fellows and the development of tight networks between fellowship recipients.
The application process consists of submitting a CV and a motivational letter through our portal. Our application committee will invite selected candidates for one round of interviews, after which final decisions will be made.
We strive to select the most talented and dedicated students and take socioeconomic factors into account.
We strongly encourage you to apply by the first deadline to maximize your chances of selection.
